Reba McEntire to headline lung cancer benefit concert
Reba McEntire will be headlining Dawn Sears & Friends, a benefit concert to fund lung cancer research.
The benefit is organized by singer and lung cancer patient Dawn Sears. Sears was diagnosed with lung cancer in February 2013 and has since been active in helping raise funds for research.
In addition to McEntire, other performers will include The Time Jumpers and Riders In The Sky. The Time Jumpers includes, among others, Vince Gill and Sears herself. The event will be emceed by Olympic figure skater and cancre survivor Scott Hamilton.
The benefit will take place 6:30 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Depot Square in Gallatin, TN. Proceeds will go to lung cancer research at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center.
Tickets are $150 and $250 and can be purchased at DawnSearsAndFriends.com. The general admission ticket for $150 includes a goodie bag, buffet, and drinks. $100 of the ticket is tax deductible. VIP tickets are $250 and include VIP seating, a goodie bag, buffet and drinks, with $175 tax deductible.
