Matt Oakley to Perform at The Association of the United States Army Annual Exposition
The Association of the United States Army (AUSA) is pleased to announce that country artist Matt Oakley will perform at the President's Reception on 14 October 2024. The President's Reception will take place during the AUSA Annual Meeting & Exposition in Washington, DC.
Familiar with the familial sacrifice and pride, Oakley will perform his newly released, deeply personal song, “Soldier’s Son.” A tribute to his father, retired Major Philip Oakley, in addition to Gold Star families, “Soldier’s Son” is a song of adoration, depicting a powerful narrative of love, sacrifice, patriotism and resilience.
Life as a “Soldier’s Son” has prepared Matt Oakley for life on the road as a touring artist, where he shared a stage with Big & Rich, Bailey Zimmerman and more. Since the release of “Can’t Take The Dogs” early this summer, Oakley has obtained nearly 500,000 streams on Spotify alone (with over 58,000 monthly listeners), received support from industry mainstays like CMT, The Heartland Network, and CountryLine TV, and opened for 3 Doors Down at Patriots Fest in Chicago, IL.
